Signing of PAES and FESS MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") was signed between the Foundation for Environmental Security and Sustainability (FESS) and the Partnership for African Environmental Sustainability (PAES). In this MOU, the parties agreed, inter alia, to:

• conduct joint studies in and disseminate information on issues related to environmental security, combating land degradation, water resources management, and sustainable development;
• promote human resources development, inter alia , through jointly organizing workshops, seminars and training programs, and establishing knowledge management networks;
• develop joint projects and programs in critical areas of common concern, mobilizing funds, when agreed upon, from bilateral and multilateral sources for implementation;
• co-publish research and studies on different aspects of environmental security and sustainable development; and
• implement, evaluate, and review projects by drawing upon each other's expertise and networks based on mutually beneficial agreement.
